Artsy Wednesday: Sponging!

This week's Artsy Wednesday challenge was to incorporate the sponging technique into a manicure. I kept it quite subtle this week, creating a chic nude and gold manicure. 

I first painted my nails with Deborah Lippmann's Human Nature (My new favorite nude polish!). Then, using a makeup sponge, I applied a bit of Color Club Disco Nap about 3/4 of the way down my nails. I love this look! I think the metallic sponged over the nude gives a "gold leaf" effect. Definitely a manicure I'll recreate again.
