Info Post
When I fell in love with my husband 4 years ago, I met the crazy cast of characters that I would now call family.

I was introduced to a family of farmers living out in the country and they were introduced to a tattooed city girl. Probably not what they had always pictured for Jeremy!

So when his Grandma shared with me her top secret family recipe for her famous chocolate chip cookies, I knew I had been accepted.

This is by far the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever tasted!

Start by preheating the oven to 375 F.
Combine 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and 1 teaspoon salt in a small bowl.

Add 1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 3/4 cup packed brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract to a large mixing bowl and beat until creamy.

Add 2 large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Gradually beat in the flour mixture.

Stir in 2 cups (12 ounce package) semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 cup chopped nuts.

Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes and remove to wire racks to cool completely.

This is the only chocolate chip cookie recipe we use in this house. They're just perfect! I like to use walnuts in mine, but my husband likes them best with no nuts at all.

And no cookie would be complete without a cold glass of milk to go with it!

YUM!
