Info Post

Hi Everyone! I'm Hannah from We Lived Happily Ever After.

I love all things diy and spend my time making my home a (hopefully) beautiful place for my family and sewing for my little girl.

Today I wanted to share with you my "Oh Deer" Little Baby Reindeer Pattern.

Go here to download the free pattern pieces (includes sizes NB-9 Months and 10-18 Months)

1. Cut out all pieces as directed.

You should have the following:

  2 Hat Body Pieces.

4 ear pieces
(in a color matching the hat)

4 Horns (white or light brown)

Place ear pieces with the fronts facing each other.

Hand stitch with 1/8" seam allowance. Turn inside out.

Lay the top hat piece off the bottom (with the front facing you) in front of you.

Pin your ears on upside down on the top of the front piece.

Sew your antlers together with a 1/8 seam allowance. Turn inside out and stuff.

As you did with the ears, pin the antlers unside down on the front of the hat.

Fold up where each the Hat Pattern Piece says "fold up." Do with both hat pieces.

Flip the hat piece without the ears and antlers, to be on top. You want both front sides facing each other.

Make sure the folds coordinates on both sides. Adjust if needed.

Sew together with a 1/8 seam allowance.

For added "upright support" I stitched the antlers on to the hat with a 1/8" seam allowance.

Otherwise they could be too floppy! :)

Now let your "DEER" little one model it!

Doesn't that make you just want to say "Merry Christmas!"

Hope you give it a try! It really is adorable.
