I know the blog has been a bit nail-heavy this week, but there are so many amazing polishes I have to show you! Deborah Lippmann launched her new True Blood inspired line of nail polish (and an awesome lipstick!) yesterday on the Home Shopping Network, but I was lucky enough to attend the launch party for the "Forsaken" line in NYC a couple of weeks ago, where I actually got to meet Deborah Lippmann!
She was absolutely lovely, and so gracious! I told her that I couldn't pick a favorite of her polishes because I liked them all so much, and she said that neither could she- they're like her babies! She was also really excited to launch her first lipstick, called "Bite Me". Deborah was nice enough to take a picture with me, too! Here we are, both wearing her new lippie!
Did I mention I am quite short? |
At the preview we got a look at the entire True Blood line. Besides Deborah's cosmetic contributions, the line also includes an amazing Eau de Parfum (also called Forsaken), as well as complimentary products with the Forsaken fragrance (home fragrance diffusers, body cream, candles, etc.). The launch party was very cool! Kristen Bauer Van Stratten, who plays Pam on True Blood, was also there- looking lovely!
My favorite part of the collection is the nail polish duo inspired by the character Sookie. Combining a gorgeous nude polish (Human Nature) with an amazing shimmer topper (Fairy Dust) , this set is very chic! Its hard to find a perfect nude polish, but the formula on Human Nature is SO GOOD! Creamy, gorgeous coverage in two coats. Add a coat of Fairy Dust and you have something really special. Check it out:
Whether or not you are a fan of HBO's True Blood, do check out the new Forsaken collection of products, especially Deborah Lippmann's lovely polishes! I'll be reviewing the Forsaken fragrance collection soon, so stay tuned!
What do you think of the Human Nature/Fairy Dust duo? You can find it and the rest of the True Blood Forsaken Collection at HSN.
Thank you so much for reading!
All the best,
Jessica
