I hope you all enjoyed my very first giveaway! I had so much fun!
The winner, selected by Random.org, is #9 Lynne K!
Congratulations Lynne! I'll be contacting you soon to claim your prize!
There is nothing truer than the saying,
"one person's trash is another person's treasure"
I have had so many great finds at Goodwill over the years that may not have been so pretty when I found them, but had so much transformation potential! This was my latest Goodwill score that my kiddos helped me pick out for their room.
P.S. I need to paint my craft table ASAP! It makes the lighting in these pictures look horrible! Just a forewarning : )
I knew I wanted to find a cute clock for their room, and I already liked the color of this clock. And for $2.99 I couldn't pass it up! That puppy dog just had to go! Even though I've never attempted to pull a clock apart before, I was pretty sure I could recover the face of the clock to coordinate with their new room. So I started taking out all the screws and pulling the clock apart.
I created this clock face design on the computer using Microsoft Word and printed it out on white card stock. In the center of the design I used a navy circle with a white star in the center that is often seen on military planes, and used the same army font from their lamp makeover.
I cut a small hole for the clock hands to fit through and ran some glue on the back of the paper.
After covering the old clock face with the paper circle, I reinstalled the clock hands,
and recruited a cute handy helper to help put the clock back together.
Isn't it adorable? It will make a great little accessory for the boy's bedroom!
What thrifty finds have you transformed lately?
