Info Post
This time of year, I can't help but start thinking about all the things I am are thankful for. I'm thankful, most of all, for my family. They are there to support me through the ups and downs, and at the end of the day, love me no matter what. My family encouraged me to start blogging, and I cannot thank them enough for it! I have truly found the perfect way to share my passion for creating and cooking with the world.

{This hideous desk is getting renovated and painted as we speak!!}

I'm also thankful for all of you too! Your encouraging words keep me going even on days when the laundry is piled a mile high, I've locked my keys in my car, and my son has flung dog poop in his eye. (Yes, that really happened...)

SO in honor of achieving my first blogging goal of reaching 100 followers,
I'm doing a giveaway!!

And to make it even more special, the giveaway comes from family, my husband's Grandma Sherry!
(Yes, THE Grandma Sherry from Grandma Sherry's Top Secret Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. You can find that recipe HERE).

Sherry is a retired farmer's wife who has been a quilt teacher since 1989. She teaches workshops in her hometown in central Illinois, as well as central Florida where she and her husband spend their winters.

{This quilt she made using a photo from mine and Jeremy's honeymoon!}

Sherry has been published in 3 magazines and also in "Oh, Wow! The Miniature Quilts and Their Makers" book by the American Quilters Society.

{Sherry gave Jeremy and I this stunning quilt at our bridal shower. She makes one for each grandchild for their wedding.}

She has a miniature quilt called "Sparkling Pineapple" hanging in the National Quilter's Museum in Paducah, Kentucky and has had 4 quilts accepted into the American Quilter's Society Show in Paducah and 2 quilts accepted in Nashville.

And if she wasn't amazing enough already, Sherry self-published her own book called, "Quilted Frames for Your Artwork", which is now in the process of being published by the American Quilter's Society to be released in the Spring of 2013!

The book shows step-by-step instructions for how to make a quilt using stripe fabric to frame artwork. You could use cross stitch, embroidery, or even photographs printed onto fabric for your artwork!

And today, Sherry is giving her book away to one lucky Love Grows Wild reader!

This book is PERFECT for beginners, because it gives you simple, easy-to-follow instructions on all the basic quilting techniques, which can easily be applied to larger quilt projects. And for those of you who don't own a sewing machine, (don't feel bad, I just recently joined the "sewing machine club") this book would make the perfect Christmas gift! Just use enter using the Rafflecopter form below.
