At the event, James Vincent (the Director of Artistry for The Makeup Show) gave us the rundown of some of the new and exciting things happening at this year's show. We got a first look at some of the products that will be featured, as well as information on some of the amazing educational programs. The Makeup Show is an amazing resource for makeup artists, with free seminars as well as all day, intensive hands-on workshops taught by some of the biggest names in the business. James was really fun to listen to, he got everyone super excited about the show.. and he is hysterical! The show is also an amazing place to SHOP, with over 100 brands offering their wares. Nars, Smashbox, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Naked Cosmetics, Youngblood Cosmetics and so many more. After the preview event, there was a great party to launch the show. The theme of the party was Andy Warhol: The Factory. It featured a curated gallery of photographs inspired by Warhol as well as live models wearing clothes of his era. Some models were even body painted in the style of Warhol's work! It was a really fun event, and I can not wait for The Makeup Show to start tomorrow!
Here are some pictures from this evening:
