In my last post, I showed you my pitiful little herb plants that got a new home in some simply labeled clay pots.
But the two tiny chive sprouts and two baby basil plants just weren't filling my dream of the bountiful, diverse herb garden I was dreaming of. And so I debated all day going back to the store and picking up more plants, but kept telling myself we didn't need it. (These days we're on a need budget, not a want budget)
And then on our 1 year wedding anniversary, my husband came home from work and called the boys out to his truck to help carry in "Mommy's anniversary presents."
(Please do not look at my ugly, outdated kitchen. I have big dreams of painting those cabinets white!)
Best husband ever!! Jeremy got me 6 herb plants: oregano, thyme, curly parsley, italian parsley, sweet basil, and boxwood basil. He also brought home a big tomato plant. He figured if it already had tomatoes on it, it would be harder for me to kill. He's such a sweetheart.
But I think he was proudest of this.
He picked it because it matched our wedding colors. Swoon.
So I got to work the next day planting all my new babies!
Now that's more like it! My husband ROCKS. Now here's to hoping I don't kill everything!!
