I've had so much fun sharing my projects, and I want to give a BIG hug and a HUGE thank you to the other creative ladies who participated in the series:

Valerie from Occasionally Crafty

To celebrate the last day of the series and to thank you for following along, I have a special giveaway!!
Here's what's up for grabs:

Now that's a giveaway!
The Pink Giraffe stuffed animal stands 20" tall and would make a perfect hand-made gift for your little ones or grandchildren this year! And if you're not feeling so crafty, I've done the hard work for you and created a set of beautiful Vintage Sheet Music Ornaments ready to be hung on your tree! And who wouldn't love some free advertising for their blog, company, or Etsy shop?

I've split the prizes into two giveaways: one for the sewing pattern and ornaments and one for the ad space. TWO giveaways means TWO winners! Enter one or enter both... Just use the Rafflecopter forms below!

Now onto my last Christmas craft (at least in the series!)
Sewn Bird Gift Tags

I saw this adorable idea on a guest post at Skip to My Lou written by Sew A Straight Line. I knew these would be the perfect gift tags for some special people in my life! Here's how I made mine:

I started by sketching a bird shape onto a scrap piece of cardstock. I used the birds from my The Perfect Nest Framed Art as my inspiration.

{TIP} You can create whatever size or shape bird you want, just keep the design simple so it will be easy to sew around.

Then I cut out my template and used it to trace the bird shape onto a scrap piece of muslin fabric. You'll need two birds per tag, so I found it easiest to fold the muslin in half before cutting the bird out, giving me two identical birds.

I used an 8" piece of small red ribbon to create a loop and pinned it to the top of one of the birds.

Then I placed the second other bird on top of the first, wrong sides together and sandwiching the ribbon loop.

Using a matching red thread, I sewed the edges of the birds together, leaving a 2" opening on the bottom of the bird. Make sure to back stitch at both the beginning and end.

I stamped a name on the tag using a fabric-safe ink (I used StazOn) and small letter stamps. You could also stamp a generic message such as "Merry Christmas" or "Love, Liz" if you're not sure yet who all you'll be gifting this year.

Then I stuffed the little birdie and finishing sewing him closed.

And the best part of these gift tags is they make great keepsakes to use as ornaments for the next year!

What a fun series this has been! Soon I hope to share with you a photo tour of my home all dressed up for the holidays, but until then...
